Bass drum may be the best part of this kit - it has pretty good punch and supplied "pillow" actaully helps.
14" stand tom is also pretty good and has nice low end. I like that one too as the bass drum.
12" tom has also pretty good sound and it's fine.
10" tom gave me a litttle bit hard time to tune it right since it is not in perfect round shape so the head did not fit correctly. With that one I am not satisfied.
Snare drum is a little bit too agressive for my taste and the top head was little wrinkled when I took it out of the box (it was already assembled).
Hardware is good, the hi-hat pedal just needed some machine oil since the chain was stucking.
I remembered how bad the hi-hat cymbal sounds in those years - if you can, get the new hi-hat as soon as possible. Crash will do it's job for a while.
The drum heads needs to be tuned right, it might take some time, if you know somebody that can tune them right ask him for help, it really makes a difference. Also the supplied dampening rings help a lot.
I remember that with remo heads, decent cymbals and double bass pedal this kit can sound pretty amazing so don't let the available price and brand tag fool you. What you pay for is what you get.
